2010 World Universities Karate Championships


In collaboration with University Sport New Zealand, Karate New Zealand will select national representatives to compete at this year's World Universities Karate Championships.  New Zealand has a strong record at this level having won individual bronze medals in 2000 (Tyron Edwards of Victoria University) and 2008 (Kylie Rochford of Canterbury University) and a bronze medal in male team kumite in 2000 (Craig Whitcombe of Massey University, Tyron Edwards of Victoria University, Chris Bennett of Auckland University, Michael Stent of Canterbury University, Richard Bennett of Auckland University).
